Window Controls & Lights
With the right equipment it is possible to control almost any household item. Windows, curtains, bed controls, room lights and electric heaters can all be operated from a remote control. Part of our service is to carry out a site survey to ascertain what the user needs to control and how they are going to control it. For people with learning difficulties or the elderly functionality can be added in stages.

Window Openers
The window opener is a small compact chain drive which can be used to open a bottom hung, top hung or side hung window. When the unit is operated the chain pushes the window open to a maximum of 10 inches. The window can be manually opened further for cleaning purposes by removing a bracket pin.

Curtain Openers
An electromechanical curtain opener that comes complete with motorised curtain rail and remote controls and can be fitted to a straight or bay window of different lengths. The control device is mounted on the wall with one button for open, one for close and a third for stop. Each curtain opener is supplied with a remote control device.

Room Lights
The InfraRed light switch replaces an existing single gang light switch. It can be operated from the wall switch itself or by pressing a key on a remote control. When the key is pressed the light is either turned on or off. When the key is held down the light is either dimmed or brightened.

Plug board
The InfraRed plug board is ideal for a person who wishes to be able to turn on and off an electric heater, table lamp or other device by pressing a key on a remote control. During installation the socket learns what key to respond to by pressing the program button on the side of the socket and a key on the remote control at the same time.

Bed Controls
Depending on the manufacturer we can interface with a bed’s existing controls so that the user can operate their bed control functions through their remote control. This is especially important for switch users who need to be able to operate all house functions from one compact scanning control such as a Control Prog.
